Making Yoga Meaningful with Embodied Yoga Principles
Wednesday, 21 November 2018 from 10:00-14:00
Embodied Yoga Principles is a practical method that psychologically deepens postural yoga, making it more effective to take from your mat into life.
It is a simple technique that quickly exposes our unconscious patterns of behaviour and ways of being... it shows us how we are and empowers us to chose how we’d like to be.
Learning this method you will gain greater self-awareness, it will give you useful real-life tools to make empowered choices, and the opportunity to practice new healthy patterns and ways of being. This is a deep, practical, but fun exploration. It can be quite liberating to experience the shifts happening.
It is something you can learn to enrich your current yoga asana practice. It will help you put more into your yoga and take more out of it.
The workshop will be 3.5 hours. It will incorporate simple slow, accessible vinyasa flow followed by time working with postures, discussion with partners and in groups, with space to explore how these principles could be taken away and integrated into your life.
While the session will be completely accessible regardless of physical ability, it can go deep, so if you are going through anything emotional right now, it may not be for you.
As I am currently training in the EYP methodology, this session will be offered on a donation basis. I will be providing water, teas, freshly brewed, island Mistral coffee and natural snacks for before and after the workshop, when we will have some time to integrate, chat and enjoy our refreshments.
The workshop is taught outside on the yoga deck with forest and mountain and views, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature at the Barefoot Mallorca basecamp, located in the Tramuntana mountains between Santa Maria and Bunyola.
(We have an indoor yoga space if the weather does not permit)
The event is lead by Rebecca Lewis of Barefoot Mallorca, who is a Natural Movement Trainer, Yoga Guide, MovNat Trainer & Natural Running Coach.
